Two labourers were killed and four others injured after a wall collapsed at a petrol pump in Haryana’s Palwal district late on Tuesday night. The incident occurred in Sofat village when a group of around 8 to 10 daily wage workers were returning home through a path adjacent to the petrol pump. According to police, the wall suddenly collapsed due to heavy rain, trapping six to eight people beneath the debris. Two workers died on the spot, while four others sustained serious injuries.
The injured have been referred to Badshah Khan Civil Hospital in Faridabad for treatment. Following an alert, officers from the Gadpuri police station arrived at the site and have launched an investigation into the cause of the collapse. Locals said the wall may have weakened due to continuous rain in the region.
