Leader of Opposition (LoP), Rahul Gandhi, made an early morning visit to Ghogripur village in Karnal district to meet the family of Amit, a young man he had encountered during his US visit, where he had promised to meet Amit’s family. According to media reports, Amit had illegally migrated to the US and worked as a truck driver. Unfortunately, he was involved in an accident there. Villagers expressed surprise at Gandhi’s unexpected visit, which had not been announced in advance. Rahul Gandhi spent a brief time with Amit’s family before departing. Amit’s brother, Ajit, shared with the media that Amit is currently in a terrible condition, struggling with health issues and unable to eat properly.
