Chandigarh, June 15
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday felicitated candidates from the state who cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025, praising their achievement as a reflection of Punjab’s growing educational strength and the determination of its youth.
Interacting with the newly selected officers, Mann said it was inspiring to see young people from ordinary families secure some of the country’s most prestigious positions through hard work and perseverance.
He highlighted the strong performance of women candidates, calling it a sign of growing empowerment and equal opportunity in society. He said daughters of Punjab were consistently excelling in competitive examinations and setting an example for others.
The Chief Minister further said that his government was focused on improving the education system by strengthening school infrastructure and ensuring equal access to quality learning for all students, regardless of background. He added that education remained central to Punjab’s long-term development goals.
He also urged parents to support their children’s ambitions and allow them to pursue careers aligned with their interests and abilities, rather than pressure them into fixed paths.
The Chief Minister congratulated the successful candidates and expressed hope that they would serve the country with integrity and dedication. He advised them to remain humble and use their positions to help the underprivileged.
Chief Secretary KAP Sinha and other senior officials were also present at the event.
