In a significant operation against drug trafficking, Amritsar Rural Police arrested three individuals and seized 4 kg of heroin smuggled by drone from Pakistan. The operation also led to the recovery of a 9mm pistol. The police registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Gharinda police station. Investigations are underway to identify additional suspects and trace the origins of the smuggling network.
“Punjab Police is committed to eradicating drug trafficking,” said Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, reaffirming the force’s dedication to combating organized crime.
