The Punjab Vidhan Sabha has adopted the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA), making its proceedings paperless. Sharing details, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan called the digitization a “revolutionary step” to improve legislative efficiency, allowing MLAs to address public concerns more effectively. “This marks a new era, ensuring transparent and accessible governance,” he said. The Punjab Assembly’s proceedings have been streamed live on official social media channels since 2022, enabling public access. NeVA, inaugurated on September 23, 2023 is a mission-mode project by the central government aimed at digitalizing legislative bodies nationwide.
