Panchkula, June 6
High drama unfolded at the local mortuary after the grieving family of Jitesh Manocha, who was recently murdered in Pinjore, refused to grant consent for his post-mortem examination. The family has firmly stated that they will not allow the medical procedure to take place until the police apprehend all the remaining suspects involved in the crime.
In response to the growing protests and escalating tensions, Panchkula District Police Commander (DCP) Srishti Gupta rushed to the mortuary. The senior official held direct talks with the family members to assure them of a swift investigation and to persuade them to allow the legal procedures to move forward.
Thus far, the police have arrested four individuals in connection with the murder case. Law enforcement officials maintained that raids are ongoing to track down the remaining suspects and that further legal action will be taken strictly in accordance with the law.
