Patiala, May 25
A court in Patiala has granted regular bail to Sanour MLA Harmit Singh Pathanmajra in an illegal mining case linked to FIR No. 87 registered at Julka Police Station.
The matter was heard on May 21, after which the District Court delivered its order granting bail to the legislator. The case concerns allegations of illegal mining activities, though the investigation’s detailed findings have not been publicly disclosed.
However, despite the relief in this case, the MLA remains in judicial custody in a separate criminal case involving serious allegations. That matter is being dealt with independently by the court and the investigation agencies.
Legal representatives confirmed the court’s decision, stating that bail was granted after completion of arguments in the mining case. Further proceedings in both cases are expected to continue in accordance with the due legal process.
