Shimla, June 29

The Himachal Pradesh government has released ₹212 crore towards pending medical reimbursement payments for employees and pensioners up to June 27 in the 2026-27 financial year, according to an official statement issued on Monday.

The Finance Department sanctioned funds to expedite the settlement of pending medical reimbursement claims. Of the total amount released, ₹131.03 crore has been allocated to clear pensioners’ claims, while ₹80.97 crore has been earmarked for government employees.

The government said the release of funds would expedite payments to eligible beneficiaries whose reimbursement claims were pending.

Employees and pensioners have been advised to contact their respective Drawing and Disbursing Officers for updates regarding the status of their medical reimbursement payments.

The move is aimed at providing relief to government employees and retired personnel awaiting reimbursement settlements, and at ensuring the timely clearance of pending claims.
