Panchkula, June 22
Candidates associated with the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) Steno Recruitment 2026 submitted a memorandum to the Commission’s office in Sector 2, Panchkula, on Monday, demanding an expedited recruitment process and improved arrangements for the upcoming skill test.
The candidates, who traveled from several districts across Haryana, urged the Commission to complete the long-pending recruitment exercise at the earliest and introduce measures to make the selection process more transparent and candidate-friendly.
Aspirants from Hansi, Chandigarh, Jind, Kurukshetra, Hisar, Kaithal, Rohtak, Yamunanagar, Narwana, and Ambala participated in the representation.
In their memorandum, the candidates requested that all applicants who have qualified the Common Eligibility Test (CET) be allowed to appear for the Steno Skill Test. They argued that such a move would provide a fair opportunity for more candidates to demonstrate their abilities, while making the recruitment process more competitive and transparent.
The aspirants also called for improved infrastructure at skill test centers, including high-quality computers, clean examination environments, and clear audio systems. They stated that adequate technical arrangements would help prevent candidates from facing avoidable difficulties during the examination.
The delegation further appealed to the Commission Chairman to accelerate the recruitment process and conduct the skill test without further delay. According to the candidates, the recruitment exercise has remained pending since 2019, affecting the career prospects of thousands of young job seekers across the state.
“The recruitment has been delayed for years, and thousands of youths are awaiting appointments. The process should be completed at the earliest so that deserving candidates can secure employment,” the memorandum stated.
Another key demand raised by the aspirants concerned the location of examination centers. They urged the Commission to establish centers at a single venue or nearby locations, rather than assigning candidates to different stations spread across multiple areas. They said such an arrangement would make travel easier for candidates coming from distant regions and reduce their financial burden.
The candidates expressed hope that the Commission would give due consideration to their demands and take prompt action to advance the recruitment process. They emphasized that the completion of the long-pending recruitment drive is linked not only to employment opportunities for thousands of young people but also to the expectations of their families.
