Hours after joining the Congress party, Olympian Bajrang Punia was appointed as the working chairman of the All India Kisan Congress on Friday. After his appointment, Bajrang Punia took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express his gratitude. Thanking the party leaders for such a big responsibility, he added that he would stand along with the farmers facing crises and be a partner in their struggle.
“The Congress stood with us in our toughest moments. We reached out to every BJP woman MP for support, but none stood with us. Today, we see where the BJP stands on women’s rights, while Congress and other parties stood by our side,” said Punia on getting the immense support from Congress.
