Mumbai, June 23
Actress Simran Rawal has opened up about her role as Swati in Zee TV’s newly launched fiction show Tu Hi Re Dil Mein, saying the character offers a refreshing perspective and breaks the conventional stereotype often associated with a third person in a love story.
Tu Hi Re Dil Mein follows the journey of Vrinda, a kind-hearted young woman whose life is shaped by faith and destiny until an unexpected turn changes everything she believes in. The show explores themes of love, sacrifice, hope, and heartbreak through an emotionally driven narrative that has begun connecting with viewers.
Simran Rawal plays Swati alongside Priyanshi Yadav, who essays Vrinda, and Abrar Qazi, who portrays Sanjay. Speaking about her experience, Simran described being part of the show as a dream come true and called it a significant milestone in her career.
“This is my first show as a lead, and when I was selected for the role, it took me some time to process it. Initially, I could not believe that I had landed such a wonderful opportunity. When everything finally fell into place, I felt extremely grateful and blessed,” she said.
Sharing details about her character, Simran said Swati is a doctor who is compassionate, positive, and committed to standing up for what is right.
“Swati is kind-hearted and always sees the good in people. She strongly believes in doing what is right and never hesitates to speak out against injustice. What I love most about her is that she breaks the usual third-person love story stereotype. People often expect such characters to bring negativity, but Swati is a very positive and genuine person,” she said.
The actress added that Swati’s journey is layered with emotional depth, particularly in her bond with her mother, and that audiences will witness several twists as the story unfolds. Reflecting on her personal growth through the role, Simran said portraying Swati has been a valuable learning experience.
“She has taught me the importance of staying calm, composed, and patient, especially during difficult situations. In reality, I am quite different from her, and that is what made this role so exciting and rewarding for me as an actor,” she said.
As Tu Hi Re Dil Mein continues its run, Simran expressed hope that viewers would connect with Swati’s journey and continue to support the show. The show airs daily at 7 PM on Zee TV.
