Chandigarh, December 3
Punjab’s Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat on Saturday released the 2026 Diary and Table Calendar of the Defence Services Welfare Department in Chandigarh. The minister said the diary and calendar have been specially designed to bring together essential information and departmental contact details at one place, with the aim of making it easier for ex-servicemen and their families to access government services.
He said the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, remains fully committed to the welfare, convenience and dignity of former defence personnel and their dependents. According to the minister, the Defence Services Welfare Department is continuing to take steps to strengthen support systems for the defence community and ensure timely assistance to veterans across the state.
Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary J.M. Balamurugan, Director Brigadier Bhupinder Singh Dhillon (Retd) and Officer on Special Duty Colonel Jarnail Singh (Retd), were present at the event.
