Chandigarh, August 20
Punjab Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian has inaugurated a photography exhibition titled Punjab in Frames at the Punjab Arts Council in Chandigarh. The exhibition, curated by State Information Commissioner Harpreet Sandhu, was launched on the eve of World Photography Day 2025 and features images depicting Punjab’s landscapes, monuments and cultural traditions.
Khudian said the exhibition offered “a visual ode to Punjab’s vibrant culture and rich heritage,” adding that it would help younger generations connect with the state’s history and identity. Chief Information Commissioner Inderpal Singh Dhanna and Punjab Arts Council chairman Swaranjit Savi praised Mr Sandhu’s work, describing it as a sincere effort to preserve Punjab’s cultural and natural legacy. The exhibition drew strong public interest, attracting academics, art lovers and cultural figures. It will remain open until 21 August at the Punjab Arts Council in Chandigarh.
