Gautam Adani, founder of the Adani Group, has stepped down from his executive role at Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), the company announced on Tuesday. He will now serve as the non-executive chairman. In a regulatory filing, APSEZ stated that the board had approved the re-designation of Gautam S. Adani from Executive Chairman to Non-Executive Chairman, from August 5, 2025. As a result, he will no longer be classified as a key managerial person within the company. Additionally, the company has appointed Manish Agarwal as an additional director in a non-executive, independent capacity. His initial term will span three years starting from August 5.
