New Delhi, September 5
US President Donald Trump on Friday said that the United States has “lost India and Russia” to China. In a social media post Trump said “Looks like we’ve lost India and Russia to the deepest, darkest China.” His remarks came during a week when leaders of India, China and Russia gathered at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.
At the weekly press briefing in New Delhi, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Deswal today declined to comment when asked about Trump’s statement.
