Palampur, May 28
A program was organized at CSIR-IHBT, Palampur, on Thursday to mark National Technology Day, with the Union Minister of State for Science and Technology holding independent charge and Earth Sciences, Jitendra Singh, attending as the chief guest.
Jitendra Singh arrived at Kangra Airport in the afternoon and proceeded directly to Palampur to participate in the program. During his visit, the Union Minister also inaugurated the institute’s Research Block.
Officials said the event focused on promoting innovation, scientific research, and technological development.
The Union Minister maintained a distance from the media both upon arrival at Kangra Airport and upon departure later in the evening. After concluding his engagements in Palampur, he returned to Delhi the same day.
