Robert Alleva, co-host of Kings of Pain and renowned TV personality, recently posted a video of his close encounter with Henry, a giant Nile crocodile believed to be 124 years old. The video, filmed at the Crocworld Conservation Centre in South Africa, quickly went viral, amassing over four million views on social media. Henry, born in 1900, holds the title of the oldest known living crocodile.
In his post, Alleva wrote, “Ever since I saw @backshall.steve with Henry, I’ve wanted to meet this Nile croc. Well…be careful what you wish for! I was as intimidated as I was fascinated!” He also thanked Crocworld Conservation Centre for the opportunity to interact with the iconic reptile, encouraging others to visit the sanctuary.
The video sparked a debate, with viewers divided. While many praised Alleva’s bravery and called the interaction “incredible,” others expressed concern over the risks involved. The comment section was filled with reactions, ranging from awe to caution, as the audience cheered for Alleva’s bold encounter.
