Washington, March 26
US President Donald Trump has asked Iran to “get serious” about negotiations to end the war, saying Tehran should act before it is “too late”. In a post on Truth Social on Thursday, Trump stopped short of issuing a direct threat but said Iranian leaders needed to engage quickly in talks.
“Before it is too late, because once that happens, there is no turning back,” he wrote.
The latest warning came a day after Trump said an agreement to end the conflict was close.
He also repeated his claim that Iran was “begging” the United States for a deal, after Washington proposed a 15-point ceasefire plan that Tehran rejected.
