Chandiagarh, November 21
The Sixteenth Punjab Legislative Assembly will convene a special session on November 24 at the historic Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial in Sri Anandpur Sahib. An official order issued on Friday said the sitting will begin at 1pm and will mark the Assembly’s 10th special session. The Speaker has declared the entire memorial complex a temporary Vidhan Sabha precinct for the duration of the proceedings, ensuring that all rules governing the House will apply at the venue. The session is being held in Roopnagar district, where the memorial is located, and arrangements have been put in place to operate the Assembly from the designated site.
