Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan condemned an incident on Thursday where senior BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were allegedly attacked in Parliament premises. Chouhan accused Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi of tearing apart the dignity of democracy, calling the act a display of a “frustrated mentality.” Both MPs sustained serious injuries and are receiving medical treatment, Chouhan said after meeting them in the hospital. He said that such an incident had never occurred in the history of Indian democracy and blamed Rahul Gandhi for creating chaos following the party’s defeat in Maharashtra and Haryana.
