Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of spreading hatred and fostering divisions across India. Speaking at a rally in Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi alleged that wherever they go, they create divisions between castes, religions, states, and languages, trying to incite conflict.
He alleged that the BJP and RSS were attempting to divide Jammu & Kashmir, but their efforts would fail. “Their agenda will now fail, and we will move forward taking everyone together,” Rahul Gandhi said.
He further criticized the appointment of the Lieutenant Governor, referring to him as an “outsider” and claiming he lacks an understanding of the region’s development needs. “The development that the people of J&K want, this person cannot achieve. He has no idea how to do it,” he added
