Russian President Vladimir Putin has received an invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit India, with plans for the trip expected to be finalised in early 2025, according to Kremlin Aide Yury Ushakov. The invitation follows a bilateral meeting between the two leaders at the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan on October 22.
During the meeting, Modi stressed the importance of diplomacy in resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to peace and stability and emphasized the need for sustained diplomatic efforts to address the ongoing crisis, highlighting India’s role in fostering global dialogue and conflict resolution.
