New Delhi, December 3
Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in Delhi on Thursday for a two-day state visit, during which he is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and meet President Droupadi Murmu, officials said. Putin’s programme on Friday includes formal discussions with Prime Minister Modi, followed by a private dinner between the two leaders. President Murmu will host a state banquet in honour of the visiting head of state later the same day.
The visit, described by Indian officials as a full state engagement, will also include a business summit, traditional ceremonial elements such as a wreath-laying at Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial at Rajghat and a ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
