Punjab’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), in coordination with Mohali police, arrested four operatives linked to Canada-based gangster Arsh Dalla and another foreign-based handler, Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said on Saturday. The arrested individuals were involved in a recent shootout at a car accessories showroom in Mohali, allegedly on the instructions of handlers based in the United States. According to police, the module was planning further crimes in Punjab and has an extensive criminal history, he said.
The Police have recovered three .32-caliber pistols and 16 live cartridges from the accused. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the State Crime Police Station in Mohali, and investigations are underway to identify other individuals linked to the network, police said.
“The Punjab Police remains committed to dismantling organized crime and ensuring public safety,” DGP Yadav stated.
