Chandigarh, September 26
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who has been admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali for a routine check-up, is in good health, according to an official statement. The Chief Minister underwent several tests as part of the assessment, with doctors reporting no significant concerns.
However, medical evaluations revealed inflammation in an artery of his lungs, which is placing pressure on his heart, leading to fluctuations in his blood pressure. Additional tests, including blood work, have been conducted, though the results are still pending.
Doctors have kept Mann under observation overnight as a precaution and will review his reports in the morning before deciding on his discharge. The Chief Minister’s overall condition is reported to be stable.
