Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday criticized the Centre’s draft of the National Policy Framework on agricultural marketing, calling it a repackaged version of the three farm laws that were previously repealed. While addressing the Punjab Assembly, CM Mann said that the Punjab government had already raised objections in a formal communication to the Centre, asserting that the draft goes against the interests of farmers. “There is no point in implementing this policy, as it does not serve the farming community,” he said. The Chief Minister reaffirmed his government’s commitment to protecting farmers’ rights and ensuring that agricultural policies are shaped in their best interest.
