New Delhi, June 24
A special Indian Air Force (IAF) C-17 aircraft carrying 165 Indian nationals evacuated from Israel landed in Delhi on Tuesday morning under Operation Sindhu. The aircraft, which took off from Amman, Jordan, landed at 08:45 IST and Indians nationals were received by Minister of State for External Affairs Dr L. Murugan.
The evacuation was part of India’s ongoing efforts to repatriate its citizens from conflict-affected regions. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the mission was carried out smoothly with the cooperation of local authorities.
“Another successful flight under #OperationSindhu. 165 Indian nationals evacuated from Israel have landed safely in New Delhi,” MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
