Dharamshala, June 20
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) re-exam will be conducted at 12 examination centers across Kangra district on June 21, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said.
The district administration has been holding regular review meetings to ensure the smooth, secure, and fair conduct of the examination. During meetings held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, officials examined arrangements for security, transportation, and other essential facilities.
Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said that no shortcomings would be allowed during the organisation of the NEET re-exam. He added that special security arrangements have been made at examination centers and jammers will be installed to prevent the misuse of electronic devices.
He said 12 centers have been designated for the examination in Kangra district, and assistance from the local police and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) will be sought this time.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to all candidates to reach their respective examination centers before the reporting time and strictly follow the examination guidelines. He urged candidates to arrive on time to avoid crowding at entry gates.
The NEET examination will be conducted from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Candidates with disabilities will be provided additional time, and their examination will conclude at 6:20 pm.
Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination halls between 11 am and 1:30 pm. The administration has advised all candidates to reach out well in advance to ensure a hassle-free entry process.
