New Delhi, June 11
Tech billionaire Elon Musk has expressed regret over his recent posts criticising US President Donald Trump, following a public dispute that played out on social media last week. Posting on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO wrote: “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.” The remarks signal a softening of tone after a heated exchange between the two influential figures.
Musk has also deleted the Epistone Files, a set of posts and documents he had shared recently, though no explanation was given for their removal. The disagreement intensified after Musk launched a scathing critique of Trump’s tax-cut and spending bill, labelling it a “disgusting abomination.” The legislation is a key policy achievement for Trump, who defended it during a White House meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, where he publicly condemned Musk’s comments. Trump has yet to respond to Musk’s comments.
