MG Launches MAJESTOR D+ SUV in Chandigarh, Prices Start at ₹40.99 Lakh

JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG MAJESTOR, positioned as India’s first D+ SUV, in Chandigarh. Designed to combine luxury, performance, technology and off-road capability, the new model targets buyers seeking a premium full-size SUV experience.

The MG MAJESTOR 4×2 Automatic Top Trim has been priced at ₹40.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in both six and seven-seater configurations. The 4×4 Automatic Top Trim is priced at ₹44.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes exclusively as a seven-seater.

Announcing the launch, Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, said the MAJESTOR strengthens the company’s SUV portfolio by offering a blend of premium comfort, advanced technology and rugged performance. He said the vehicle introduces several segment-leading features while setting new benchmarks in size and capability.

The SUV is powered by a twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque. It is paired with an eight speed automatic transmission and is offered in both two-wheel drive and four wheel drive variants.

For off-road enthusiasts, the MAJESTOR features an intelligent four wheel drive system with 10 terrain modes, along with front, rear, and centre differential locks. The vehicle also comes equipped with Crawl Control Mode, 219 mm of ground clearance, and 810 mm of water wading capability.

According to the company, the MAJESTOR is the longest, widest, and tallest vehicle in its segment, measuring 5046 mm in length, 2016 mm in width, and 1870 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2950 mm.

The cabin offers a premium experience with ventilated and massage seats, panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, 64 colour ambient lighting, dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless smartphone connectivity, dual wireless chargers, a 220V power outlet and a 12-speaker JBL audio system.

Safety features include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, a 360-degree HD camera, Electronic Stability Program, ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, and Traction Control System, among other driver assistance technologies.

The MAJESTOR is available in Pearl White, Concrete Grey, Metal Black, and Metal Ash colour options.

MG is also offering its MG Shield ownership package, which includes a three year unlimited kilometer warranty, roadside assistance, and three labour free periodic services. Customers can further opt for extended coverage plans and an assured buyback programme offering up to 70 per cent buyback value.
