Despite her victorious run at the Paris Olympics, Manu Bhaker finished 4th in the finals of women’s 25m shooting.
J.J. Yang of South Korea came in first with a score of 37 points; Camille Jedrzejewski of France came in second with a score of 37 points; and V. Major of Hungary came in third with a score of 31 points. Manu Bhaker from India came in fourth with a score of 28 points.
Manu Bhaker had previously won bronze in the women’s 10m air pistol and another bronze with Sarabjot Singh in the mixed 10m air pistol at the Paris Olympics. These wins made Manu Bhaker the first Indian athlete to score two medals at one Games since the independence of India.
