Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday emphasized his bond with Wayanad, declaring his “right to complain” to its people about his sister, Priyanka Gandhi, now the Congress MP candidate for the region.
“Wayanad holds a place in my heart that goes beyond politics,” he said, pledging his support for the community and promising to promote its beauty globally. Rahul Gandhi issued a friendly challenge to Priyanka, urging her to develop Wayanad into Kerala’s top tourist destination.
“When people think of Kerala, I want Wayanad to be their first choice. This will benefit both the local economy and introduce Wayanad’s charm to the world,” he added.
