Patna, June 3
A coaching institute run by educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, was allegedly vandalized and attacked with stones in Patna on Tuesday night, police said. The incident took place within the Kadamkuan police station limits, and authorities have launched an investigation after CCTV footage indicated the involvement of around 15 to 20 people.
Police said they received information at around 10:10 pm about stone-pelting and property damage at the Khan Global Coaching Institute. A police team reached the spot immediately and began an inquiry.
Preliminary findings, including CCTV footage, suggest that the attackers may be linked to another coaching institute in the city. Officials said efforts are underway to identify and arrest those involved.
Khan Sir alleged that the attackers also assaulted the security guard and claimed that gunshots were fired inside the premises. However, police have said that while a physical assault has been confirmed, there is no evidence of firing based on the footage reviewed so far.
Authorities added that the situation is being thoroughly investigated and further legal action will follow once the facts are fully established.
Police raids are currently underway to trace the accused. Officials said all aspects of the incident are being examined before proceeding with further action under the law.
