India has made significant strides in defence modernisation and self-reliance over the past 11 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday, describing the progress as a reflection of the nation’s collective resolve and technological ambition.
Responding to a post on X by MyGovIndia marking “#11YearsOfRakshaShakti”, the Prime Minister highlighted what he called a transformative period for India’s defence capabilities.
“In the last 11 years, our defence sector has seen remarkable changes, with a clear focus on modernisation and becoming self-reliant,” Modi wrote. “It is gladdening to see how the people of India have come together with the resolve of making India stronger,” he added.
