Suspected Pakistani-origin drones and missiles targeted military installations in Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur on Wednesday morning, marking an escalation in cross-border hostilities along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Indian defence officials, the threats were “swiftly neutralised” using a combination of kinetic and non-kinetic measures, in adherence with standard operating procedures. No casualties or damage to infrastructure were reported.
India remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its people, the government said.
