Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh on Friday disclosed that India destroyed nine to ten Pakistani fighter aircraft, including US-made F-16s and Chinese JF-17s, during Operation Sindoor in May. Speaking at the 93rd Air Force Day celebrations on Friday, the IAF Chief dismissed Pakistan’s counter-claims of Indian losses as “manohar kahaniyan” or “fascinating tales”.
IAF Chief said India’s strikes destroyed four to five F-16 and JF-17 class jets along with a surveillance aircraft in the air. On the ground, he added, another four to five F-16s were destroyed in precision strikes targeting radar systems, command and control centres, runways and hangars.
