India and China are in discussions to resume direct flight services between the two countries, according to sources. The talks come ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to China, for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit. The potential restoration of direct air links is seen as a significant step, given the limited travel connectivity between the two nations since the pandemic and ongoing diplomatic strains.
