Punjab Police have busted an illegal arms module operated by Jagga Dhurkot, a foreign-based handler linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang, and arrested seven of its operatives, Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said on Monday. Dhurkot, involved in extortion rackets across Punjab, was reportedly planning a major dacoity, which police successfully foiled.
The Moga police also recovered five pistols (32 bore) along with eight cartridges and magazines during the raids. “Punjab Police is fully committed to eradicating organized crime and ensuring peace and harmony in the region,” the DGP said.
