President of the Chandigarh Press Club, Saurabh Duggal, termed the incident “an attempt to curb press freedom through administrative overreach” and called for accountability from the authorities involved.
The club reiterated that freedom of the press is a cornerstone of democracy and must be protected from any form of intimidation or interference.
