Illia ‘Golem’ Yefimchyk, who was often called the “world’s most monstrous bodybuilder,” died at the age of 36 on September 11, reportedly suffering from a heart attack. On September 6, he had a heart attack, after which he went into a coma, dying a few days later. Though Yefimchyk never participated in any professional event, he had gained a huge and loyal social media following where he often showed himself pushing the boundaries of human capabilities. This eventually got him the nickname “The Mutant.” He weighed 340 lbs and was 6 feet 1 inch tall and to maintain his physique, he consumed 7 meals a day. These meals were around 16,500 calories, which included 2.5 kilograms of steak and 108 pieces of sushi.
In his school time, he weighed around 70 kg and could not do pushups. Later in life, he got inspired by the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, inspiring him to work on his physical development. “My mission is to instill a work ethic in people so they can overcome and surmount their fears while acting confidently towards the betterment of themselves and those around them,” Yefimchyk once said.
