The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the schedule for the election of its national president, with the process set to conclude on January 20. Party sources say the BJP’s working president, Nitin Nabin, is set to be elected unanimously, suggesting the possibility of an uncontested poll.
According to an official notification issued on Friday by the party’s National Returning Officer, Dr K. Laxman, the election will be held at the BJP’s central office in New Delhi.The nominations will be filed on January 19, followed by scrutiny and withdrawals later the same day. The National Returning Officer will expected to make announcement about national president on January 19.
