Chandigarh, December 18
The Chandigarh administration has shifted Punjabi singer AP Dhillon’s upcoming concert, scheduled for December 21, from Sector 34’s Exhibition Ground to the Rally Ground in Sector 25. The decision comes in response to widespread complaints from local residents and businesses regarding traffic congestion, parking difficulties, noise pollution, and loss of business during previous concerts at the Sector 34 venue.
In recent months, similar issues arose during performances by other Punjabi artists, including Diljit Dosanjh and Karan Aujla, prompting significant disruptions. Many office spaces in the area had to close early due to the overwhelming crowds and traffic chaos. The move to Sector 25 aims to alleviate the burden on locals, who have expressed frustration with the ongoing inconvenience.
