Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the e-distribution of 58 lakh SVAMITVA Property Cards on December 27, a milestone event in rural governance and empowerment. The SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) scheme, launched on April 24, 2020, aims to provide rural property owners with legally recognised ownership documents using drone and GIS technology.
At the event, Modi will interact with selected beneficiaries via video conferencing and deliver a nationwide address. Union Ministers, senior officials, and representatives from panchayats will also participate. Regional distribution ceremonies will occur across the country, with 13 Union Ministers overseeing activities from designated locations.
