The Winter Session of the Parliament is set to commence on November 25 and continue until December 20, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced on Tuesday. The proposal for convening the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha during this period received approval from President Droupadi Murmu.
“Hon’ble President, on the recommendation of the Government of India, has approved the proposal for summoning of both the Houses of Parliament for the Winter Session, 2024 from 25th November to 20th December, 2024 (subject to exigencies of parliamentary business),” Rijiju said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Rijiju also said that on November 26, the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution will be commemorated in the Central Hall of the Samvidhan Sadan as part of Constitution Day celebrations.
