Bangladesh’s Foreign Ministry has recalled five senior diplomats, including the envoys to India, Australia, Belgium, Portugal, and the United Nations, amid ongoing changes in its missions abroad. In separate notices served to each envoy, the ministry directed them to relinquish their current responsibilities and return to Dhaka immediately. “You have been requested to return to Dhaka, leaving your current responsibility immediately,” read the official notification.
The move is part of a broader reshuffle aimed at reorganizing Bangladesh’s diplomatic missions, though the government has not disclosed specific reasons for the decision.
