New Delhi, June 22
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will issue revised physical marksheets to Class 12 students whose scores changed following verification or re-evaluation of answer sheets. Students will be required to surrender their original marksheets before receiving the updated documents from CBSE regional offices, sources said on Monday.
Sources said revised physical marksheets will be made available through CBSE regional offices in due course. Students seeking the updated documents will have to submit their existing original marksheets before the revised copies are issued.
Officials said the updated marksheets have already been uploaded to students’ DigiLocker accounts and are valid for all official and academic purposes. Candidates requiring immediate access to their revised results have been advised to use the DigiLocker version until physical copies become available.
The development comes after CBSE began releasing the outcomes of verification and re-evaluation applications submitted by Class 12 students.
According to the board, more than 87 percent of the applications were processed and declared during the first phase of result publication. CBSE said the remaining outcomes would be released in phases as individual applications are evaluated.
The board stated that every application has been processed through a robust, transparent, and carefully monitored mechanism to ensure fairness and accuracy in the review process.
CBSE had declared the Class 12 board examination results for approximately 17.69 lakh students on May 13. Students were provided access to scanned copies of their evaluated answer books from May 19 to May 25. Applications for verification of marks and re-evaluation were accepted between June 2 and June 7.
CBSE officials said the remaining re-evaluation results will be announced shortly, while the process of issuing revised physical marksheets will also be completed through regional offices in the coming weeks. Students whose marks have changed can continue using the updated DigiLocker marksheets until the physical documents are issued.
