Chandigarh, January 15
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday appeared before Sri Akal Takht Sahib in the afternoon. Mann had earlier said he would present himself on January 15 as directed, and “with full humility”, making it clear that neither he nor his office had sought any change in schedule. He said the entire day had been kept free to comply with the directions of the Jathedar.
The Chief Minister had also informed the President’s office that he would be unable to attend an official event on January 15, as the date was reserved exclusively for his appearance before the Takht.
