The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) suffered a significant setback as two-time Banga MLA, Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi, joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday. He Joined the AAP in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who praised Sukhi for his dedication to the welfare of the underprivileged.
Sukhwinder Sukhi, a doctor by profession, was elected as MLA from Banga in 2017 and again in 2022, representing SAD. He also served as the leader of the SAD Legislative Party in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
