A fire broke out on Monday at Chhatbir Zoo in Zirakpur, Mohali district, damaging over two dozen electronic carts that were parked inside the premises.
According to initial information, the vehicles were plugged in for charging when the blaze started. The incident occurred suddenly, sending thick smoke billowing across the area.
Fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the flames. No injuries have been reported so far. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
