The central government has approved the appointment of two advocates as judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced on Friday. The new judges are Jiya Lal Bhardwaj and Romesh Verma, whose names were recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on September 15. With these appointments, the High Court will have 13 judges, though its sanctioned strength is 17.
